India's rapid economic growth is being built on a frame of Wires and Cables.
Soaring demand by sectors like infrastructure, real estate, power and
telecom, at home and abroad, has put India's Wire and Cable industry on the
world map. The sector is poised for a huge growth in future as the market for
them is expected to grow to US$ 25 billion. Rajasthan and NCR put together
have over 1000 manufacturers of Wires and Cables, majority of which are
MSMEs'.
Against this backdrop, Confederation of Indian Industry along with MSME
Development Institute, Government of India is organizing the Second Edition
of the Wire & Cable Tech Mart 2008 on 18 - 19 July 2008 at BM Birla
Auditorium, Statue Circle, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam
Ltd, Mahindra World City (Jaipur) Ltd, Vodafone Essar Digilink Ltd, Rajasthan
Copper Manufacturers Association, Rajasthan Cable Manufacturers
Association and Rajasthan Conductor Manufacturers Association have
confirmed to partner the event.
The programme will feature a one day conference and two day exposition
wherein key personnel from the Government, Leaders from industry,
Academia, Journalists, Non Governmental Agencies, raw material suppliers,
manufacturers, consumers and experts from the Wire and Cable Sector, etc.
will meet to discuss issues and areas of concern pertaining to the
development of wire and cable industry and give out workable solutions.
Parallel to the conference a Showcase to highlight products, services,
processes and technologies is also being organised. The exhibition will be a
platform for the exhibitors to show / demonstrate their products and services
to the target customers. Defence, Indian Railways, Telecom Industries and
Foreign participation has been invited to participate at the event.
Wire & Cable Tech Mart 2006 Retrospect : The first in its series organised
by Confederation of Indian Industry and Small Industries Service Institute
was a grand success. With over 30 exhibitor organisations, 15 technical
speakers and 300 industry delegates the programme was very well received
by the stakeholders. The Secretary SSI & ARI, Government of India
announced the formation of a Wire and Cable cluster at Jaipur.
